The Ultimate Hi-Lustre, Low Maintenance Flooring Material :
Polished Concrete
Imagine a smooth, lustrous floor that is durable in a warehouse or workshop against heavy daily foot traffic and even the 'wear and tear' of forklift truck wheels - and yet has a look which is shiny, clean, and professional enough for use in office buildings, hotels, and restaurants!

|
We are the best equipped and most experienced contractors in north Canberra for grinding and polishing concrete floor surfaces—whether new or old—to a high-gloss finish that never needs waxes or coatings.
Once you've experienced the ease and "class" of living and working on a low-maintenance polished concrete floor - you'll never look back!

The Process
In simple terms, polishing concrete is similar to sanding wood. Heavy-duty polishing machines equipped with diamond-impregnated disks (the equivalent of sandpaper) are used to gradually grind down surfaces to the desired level of lustre—from satin to high-gloss.
This produces a surface which is highly practical and low-maintenance - and one that can also be stained to replicate the look of polished stone.
Low maintenance - low cost
|
The most important reason owners of warehouses, workshops and retail facilities are choosing polished concrete for their floors is the reduction in costs and ease of maintenance.
Polished concrete floors are easy to keep clean and bright, requiring only occasional damp mopping, yet they hold up remarkably well to the wear of heavy foot traffic - and even resist the marks of forklift trucks and staining from oil and chemical spills.

And better still, they completely eliminate any need for messy waxes or coatings— and therefore the associated costs in labour and time.
Aesthetic appeal
The attractive sheen of polished concrete is another great benefit, especially for office buildings, hotels, restaurants, and other public facilities where there is a need to project a clean, professional, "upmarket" image.

Many of our customers are seeking a look that’s unique.
Polishing can give concrete a higher degree of shine than can be achieved with a high-gloss coating — quite similar to polished marble or granite.
For all these reasons polished concrete is a particularly good alternative for homeowners or businesses who want to keep costs down, but want a brilliant, mirror-like finish. |
